Iraq and Kuwait Reopen Abdali Border Crossing After Drone Attack

 Baghdad — Iraq's Border Ports Authority has announced the reopening of the Abdali Border Crossing, the main land route connecting Iraq and Kuwait, after it was temporarily closed following a drone attack.

The crossing was shut down on Thursday after unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) strikes targeted the area, causing property damage. Authorities said the decision to reopen the border was made after security assessments confirmed that operations could safely resume.

Located in Kuwait's Jahra Governorate, the Abdali crossing is one of the most important gateways for passenger travel and commercial trade between Iraq and Kuwait, handling a significant volume of cross-border traffic.

Officials have not identified those responsible for the attack, and no group has claimed responsibility. Investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
